The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) provides a variety of services for people with neuromuscular diseases, including paying for medical equipment, allowing the borrowing equipment, and providing medical care through MDA clinics.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) gives details on the SSI service, which gives money to people affected by a variety of disabilities, and is an outlet to apply for this service.
The Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC) provides many different services for individuals with disabilities. One of their more notable services is allowing friends and family members to be paid through the HCBS program, for providing attendant care for a disabled person.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services helps people with a variety of disabilities find jobs, and also helps pay for schooling, computers, and equipment, as well as many other things.
